3 out of 5 stars Never feel as though you have full control.   December 14, 2007

I was really looking forward to FIFA for the PS3, however, I have to say that I am extremely disappointed. You wont enjoy passing the ball to your player and watching him stand there waiting for the ball to arrive to him and your opponant just coming along and intersecpting the ball. Especially on long passes where your player is on the enivitable track. If you can get past these issues you will enjoy the game, but it will continue to fustrate you in competitive games.

4 out of 5 stars Very good soccer game   December 3, 2007
This is a very good soccer game. i play it with a full hd lcd and the graphics are really good. i love to play with the pro trainer mode where you only play a single player that you choose from the team. i must also warn that in order to really control the player in the game you need a lot of practice. It is not easy to make the moves you want with the controller. There are so many moves. Overall it can say it is a must if you like soccer.

The game has all the teams, players, places, tactics, movements...and at the end, when you are playing, you will find that all that plus will make your game difficult to develop.
You dont use all the tactics stuff and in my experience I dont see a true difference when I play the different formations that you can select.
What I have sometimes is a crazy goalkeeper going to the middle of the groung without control...

4 out of 5 stars Best Fifa game so far   November 12, 2007
After the latest versions of fifa i was getting really dissapointed at the franchise, but after Fifa08 im getting my hopes up again. A lot of different game modes, the be a pro mode being the most revolutionary addiotion, and its also a lot of fun to play.

The menus, music and overall presentation has improved greatly, as well as the AI, except for some details where the NPC's do really weird and incohernt stuff, but it doesnt bother me as much as it did in previous Fifa games.

Its a fun game overall, and if you like futbol, you should get it!

4 out of 5 stars FIFA 08 for PS3   November 8, 2007
FIFA 08 has lived up to my expectations. The gameplay is fantastic on the PS3 platform, and i like the additions of the various skill moves. Step overs, juggling, first moves, passing to the furthest player etc are all great features. Another fantastic feature is the "screensaver" that comes up while the game is loading, where you can use Ronaldinho to improve your skills one on one with the goalie.

The gameplay is obscenely great, with improved tactical play, and realistic action such as difficulty in scoring while under pressure and less computer aid in taking free-kicks.

I think the game could be improved with more crowd interaction to add a little more realism to the stadia. I am not sure whether it's because i have an outdated TV, but the frames per second and the onscreen writing such as when you go into team management etc needs improvement (the writing seems too small, in comparison the PS2 version).

Overall, i think i score this game an 8/10. It is clearly far better than the 2007 version.
