One of the best!!! October 1, 2007 This game is the one game if you love playing, watching, evaluating soccer. The game keeps renewing itself. 10 years later from you opened first the game, your star players won't be in the game. That is the most important future for the game. I have been playing this management game since 1998 and there is no competitor against it. Must be bought and played.
FM series: better each year September 8, 2007 While soccer team managment type of games is more and more popular there is no doubt that there is only one all around good "manager" game on the market: Football Manager series(distributed in US and Canada as World Soccer Manager). Each year people at SIgames do great job to deliver a better and deeper gaming expirience and track all changes in the world of soccer to make playing true to life. And what I love about each game of this series: however good you were at a previous year's game you will struggle to win in a new one :-) AI is better and better each year and really makes you think. In this game it's impossible to create one "killer tactic" as it was three years ago, youl have to adopt your teams style of play depending on who and where you play, which is absolutely true to life. Moreover new teamtalk feature is really fun to use.Enjoy guys! This WSM game is the best ever and I hope even better follow ups are comming
The best computer game August 8, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this game is so addicting and fun i cant stop playing it. after i got it, four of my friends bought it the same week after they saw it. there isnt any other games like this out. especially in the US you cant find any games like this anywhere. also compared to fifa there are so so much more teams and players its unbelievable. if u love soccer and love strategy games this is gonna be your favorite game EVER.
Best Soccer Game July 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is definitely for the TRUE football fan (soccer for us Americans). I love the fact that the "rules" change when you manage teams from different leagues (for example, trades instead of buying players in the MLS, players needing clearance to play in England if they are not from the EU, players being co-owned in Italy). I feel like I'm learning more about the world of football each time a start a new team in a new league.
The most fun to me is starting at the bottom and gradually working my way up to the top over many years. I am happy at how challenging this game is too. I've always liked the management aspect of the EA FIFA games, but it seemed way too easy to make it to the top. I never felt like I was fighting tooth and nail to avoid relegation like I have in WSM.
There also is a ton of content online for this game including kits and faces for 1000's of players and a hefty amount of advice. (of course you need to search for it under the name Football Manager).
My favorite game in years, I'm completely addicted!
Good Soccer management sim June 10, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is a good soccer management sim that can be pretty detailed. It can get kinda repetitive though, because there isn't a whole lot to do between games, most of the time. If you want to know what it might be like to manage a club though, this is the closest thing to reality on the market.
