Nearly a decade after the release of their groundbreaking debut, The Sickness, Disturbed have become one of the most respected bands in the hard-rock universe thanks not only to pummeling riffs and jackhammer beats but passionate insights into our troubled times. Three platinum-plus albums?Believe and Ten Thousand Fists charted #1?have led to Indestructible, the group?s darkest, angriest outing yet.

3 out of 5 stars Not TOO disturbing!   January 6, 2009
Great heavy metal! Maybe the singing is too similar throughout the songs, but all-in-all very good!

3 out of 5 stars Another example of when a band only relies on kickass cover art   December 27, 2008
Sorry, if you're looking for something different from 10K Fists, you might as well buy another CD. This has the same type of track that that album offers- the "Misunderstood unite" rockers, the Angst songs, the "Enemy inside" songs.

Let me say the good news- The band have gotten the instruments they used on "The Sickness" back. And the guitar work here is great, they haven't played this good in years. Unfortunately that's about it. Every song on the album sounds the same. And as one listner pointed out, the vocals are tired and strained. It sounds like he's reading the lyrics off a paper.

Another thing- The cover art is very cheesy too. It has a good concept behind it, but the finished result seems rushed and looks so damn cheesy. And the font spelling out "Disturbed" makes it look like "Distubbed".

Overall- buy it to complete the cycle, nothing else.

5 out of 5 stars Great album   December 26, 2008
Indestructible is some of the band's best work. I feel it is on par with the sickness, which I thought was an amazing album. Every song on the new cd is great and you will not find yourself skipping by tracks. Unlike the majority of bands that provide fillers between decent tracks, disturbed made sure each track rocked. If you have ever enjoyed this bands music then do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

3 out of 5 stars Their Weakest Release   December 21, 2008
Their first release proves to be a rockin' record, albeit with a couple lackluster lyrics. Their second release (which i consider their best), proved that they were here to stay, with far superior musicallity and lyrics. Their third release was the most polished of them all, showing all that Disturbed had to offer and then some. So what is the fate of their forth studio release? To say the least I was incredibly dissapointed. After purchasing the album based on the cover art alone (i had heard only the single Inside the Fire before the purchase) i brought it home to give it a good solid listen. I wasnt particularly impressed with the single, and found that the same feeling plauged the rest of the album. While the typical Disturbed sound remains intact, their is nothing that differentiates each song from the next. All of the songs bleed together, making the record altogether boring. The record fares better when listened to on an iPod, playing individual songs, but even then you wont be able to tell which song you are listening to. In addition, I found the production a little worse than Ten Thousand Fists, seeming to favor a louder, heavier feeling. If you cant seem to get enough Disturbed, this album won't dissapoint. However, I would purchase their first three albums before putting this one on the spinner. Hopefully going into their fifth release the band will make enough alterations to their sound to keep the material from becoming stagnant.

5 out of 5 stars Heavy handed   December 19, 2008
Monster riffs and killer trax again from Disturbed. This one has a bit of a progressive metal feel at times, with numerous changes and double bass during verses. Deceiver and The Night are some of best tunes they've ever written. All in all a great new collection of controlled fury from the boys.
