Not even slightly good September 3, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love tea. I prefer fresh loose tea, but that's really unhandy at work, so I'm always on the lookout for reasonable bagged tea. After reading all the raves here, I had to try PG Tips. And I have no idea what you all are talking about. This tea is not even slightly good. I've tried varying the amount of water and the brewing time. I've tried using more than one tea bag. It's not even half as good as Red Rose Tea or even Lipton Tea. There is no tea flavor to be coaxed from these bags. I could get the same great flavor by steeping the box in hot water.
Good basic tea August 29, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Since trying black teas from Britain, I can never go back to the ones I find at the local grocery stores. It tastes way more like, well.. tea. The flavor is much more pronounced. There is less of a bitter aftertaste, though for this brand, there still is just a tiny bit in my opinion. I actually prefer Yorkshire Tea made by Taylors of Harrogate because it has even stronger flavor and less bitterness in my opinion - the best of all I tried (I drink hot with sugar only, no milk/cream). PG Tips is a close second however, and I would surely recommend a try at least once. The top flap of the box folds back to open and close, and there is no plastic or waxy paper to keep the tea bags fresh as in other brands. They all just sit piled in the box. The flap closes securely around the rest of the box though, so I still feel like the tea is well contained. 160 bags seems like a lot, but if you haven't tried PG Tips before, you'll be so impressed with the improvement in quality over the brands you've only had from grocery stores that it'll probably be gone in no time because you won't be able to stop drinking it :)
I like to make milk tea with this. Just brew up a concentrated batch as if for ice tea, sweeten, then add milk (about one part milk for every two parts tea). Drink cold.
Enjoy!

This tea is consistently delicious and satisfying! Essentially, it is the ONLY tea I drink! When a friend is introduced to this tea at my home, I know that the next time I have tea at their's, it will be PGTips!
Good English tea July 28, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great to be able to buy PG Tips for a reasonable cost and have it delivered to the door! Having an English husband requires large amounts of tea and not Salada! Thanks
Yummy July 14, 2008 American tea is dishwater so I drink PGTips. Strong British tea with plenty of caffeine. Amazon has the best price I've been able to find on-line, and free shipping too!
