Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Robin Thicke is primed and ready for Something Else. "It was like everyone was saying the same things, worried about the same things and I just felt we needed something different right now. I asked myself do I have a light? What is that light? How can I spread it, share it and turn it into a Puff Daddy white linen Miami Beach party?" After his highly acclaimed 1.5 million selling album "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" garnering the smash hit "Lost Without U", a tireless schedule of touring and appearances Robin needed to sit back, reflect on the last 2 years and start anew.

"On the last album I wanted to let people into my walk of life and connect my life to them and this album is more about involving great minds, hearts and spirits around me. When I started writing songs I was already embracing people and now I just wanted to dance and laugh with them". With that spirit driving the creative process Robin has penned some of the best songs of his career from the retro meets modern groove of the first single "Magic", the upbeat celebration of "Sidestep" to the picturesque "Dreamworld" he is taking the listener on a musical journey that is truly unique, sexy and invigorating. Something Else is exactly the kind of record that the world needs right now to feel inspired again.

3 out of 5 stars Good-not as great as expected   November 16, 2008
On first listen, I thought this CD was exellent. After listening to it several times, I kept skipping over several tracks. There are about 5 great tracks, the rest are not as good. The music was not as soulful and full on the remaining 5 tracks. Good, but not great.

5 out of 5 stars Something Else that Robin Thicke   November 16, 2008
I was very pleased with his "Something Else" CD!
He's done it again! Go, Robin, Go Robin!

3 out of 5 stars Robin Thicke - Something Else   November 10, 2008
Very disappointed in this release. "Magic" is the best track, the rest of the album is not exciting.

5 out of 5 stars Sensational   November 10, 2008

I really liked the fact that I got to sample all the songs on the CD before purchasing it. It really gave me enough sample to know that I would enjoy it, & others would too. So I also bought one as a gift for someone else. I don't like to get an album and only have a couple of songs on it that I like. This whole album is nice!!!!

2 out of 5 stars Too much of a throwback to 70's Soul   November 4, 2008

I understand an artist's need to show his/her versatility and grow beyond their last project but Something Else is kinda boring. Gone is the sexy falsetto, the quiet growl, personal lyrics, or the great musical hooks that was the power behind "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" and all we're left with are just okay remakes of 70's riffs, songs that don't make the listener care and okay but not interesting singing from Thicke.

C'mon, Robin - Give us something else!!!
