Description It's double the excitement and twice the fun when identical twins kick their way to soccer superstardom in this feel-good family adventure co-starring Tom Arnold and featuring a hilarious cameo by Olympic champion Cobi Jones. When it comes to playing sports, the Martin boys (Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Big Daddy) are just plain lousy but that's never stopped them from trying! And this year, they've made a vow to themselves and the neighborhood bully to lead their fledgling soccer team to victory. But for this klutzy combo, talking big is the easy part. It's actually scoring big that's the problem. Now they're so far in over their heads, it'll take world-class strength, courage and a steady supply of miraculous intervention to save them!
Amazon.com Twin boys Dylan and Cole (Dylan and Cole Sprouse) discover an amazingly talented soccer coach (Bill Dawes) in a most unlikely place when their father and coach (Tom Arnold) is called out of town on unexpected business. The once-pathetic Terrier team rises to greatness under Coach Rudy's tutelage and are soon in contention for the state finals, but their coach's secret past threatens their chance for victory and endangers the coach's life. While parents may find it hard to stomach the overwhelming barrage of pre-teen lingo and at-times weak acting, the overall message about the importance of teamwork and doing the right thing speaks to all ages. Alert viewers will also enjoy a very brief glimpse of Major League Soccer star Cobi Jones. (Ages 4 and older) --Tami Horiuchi

October 28, 2008 Since i'm in like LOVE with Sprouse twins and i LOVE soccer i had to get this movie!I rented this movie first and FELL IN LOVE WITH IT.I rented it again and again.SO finally i HAD to buy this movie. What's better than Amazon?Cheap price, great serivce why not here? This is a family movie and the sprouse twins did a great job. This is a everyday cheerful movie.GREAT plot, great actors, and overall GREAT MOVIE.
Hollywood liberal political correctness May 7, 2008 The father is incompetent and the woman comes in and coaches to a championship. Will we ever see it the other way around? of course not. I'm surprised the twin's parents permitted them to be in a movie with trash talk and bad language. -1 stars.
Terrible!!! April 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We were shocked at the amount of bad language used in just a few short minutes of the movie. What could have been a great show was ruined by the language/attitudes/behavior of the kids in the movie. I give this one star only because the review is requiring me to not because it deserves it.
Loved It February 7, 2006 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I personally liked the movie. I don't know what some other reviews mean by "bad language" there was nothing bad about it, ALL AGED MOVIE a good family movie. Definatly rent before you buy it though, i bought it before renting it but i loved it anyway. : )
Why not give it a kick! January 13, 2006 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I rented this movie, and then had to buy it. I like the spouse twins and the movie was cute with a plot. Twin boys who's life revolves around playing soccer - as well their dad is the soccer team coach. The dad is pulled away for important business just before the season is to begin. He may be gone for days to weeks...who steps in? Non other than Mom, and the sister who comes to visit for a few weeks of the summer. Obviously the kids on the team think the mom is a poor coach. But do like her cute sister so they are somewhat compeled to come to practice. Meanwhile there is another plot taking place of a strange man that seems to appear at all the right times. I don't want to give it away because it is one of the better parts of the movie but he ends up playing a major role in the movie and for good reason. My 4 year old son liked it and so did my husband and I. It thought it was a good family film.
