No Secrets in this book January 2, 2009 This book has no secrets. Doesn't even address the registry. You get more info on Microsoft's website. I have many "Secrets" books and this is the worst. Avoid this at all and even no cost.
Not an apologist December 21, 2008 Of course there is little to say to defend Microsoft, but this book is quite ressonable at explaining what Vista is about and what is better (and worse) than earlier versions. Practical information easily explained and a few secret bits for those of us who like that stuff.
Awsome Vista Secrets November 28, 2008 This is Paul's best book yet!! His eye for detail is unprecedented, I hope he keeps writing these books. If you want to know something about Vista, go no further.
Usual Thurrott thoroughness November 9, 2008 As has become the norm for Paul's work this is a very comprehensive, easy to read, reference on Vista. There is probably more information here than most will ever need but it is sure fun to explore.
Good referance book October 21, 2008 Even experienced users will find useful gems of knowledge in this users manual for Vista. As an experienced user myself I find it a good reference for some of the more obscure and/or little used features of Vista. For novice users the book is even more useful as it explains just about everything you will need to use Vista, in an easy to read format. It is the users manual Microsoft should have included with the operating system.I bought a used copy for $1.40, in perfect condition, at that kind of price you can't go wrong.
